Meet our Review Board

Eduardo Castellanos

Eduardo was born in Guatemala and has been part of the organizing team for the past few years, after first jumping in as a volunteer. He’s been working in cybersecurity since 2008, gradually shifting from hands-on technical work to leading global teams and shaping strategy. Now based in Munich, he enjoys bouldering, snowboarding, and figuring out the daily puzzle of being a new dad.

Ingmar

Originally from the hilly Sauerland Ingmar was drawn by the big mountains (and of a job offer) to munich almost 15 years ago. After starting in systems and network administration Ingmar fell into the rabbit hole of security and annoyed clients with his findings as a penetration test and red teamer. His spare time his spent around the alps, on motorcycles, bikes or on foot.

Ivan

Fueled by curiosity and caffeine, Ivan has worked across vulnerability and incident management, security automation, and research. These days, he’s exploring the finer points of product and program management, secure development practices, and making life easier (and safer) through automation. Outside of work, you’ll likely find him tinkering with side projects, or attempting to finish that ever-growing stack of tech books and computer games.

Morton Swimmer

Morton Swimmer is a Principal Threat Researcher for Trend Micro Research where his job is to anticipate the future of computer and internet threats and find ways of mitigating them. Previously, he served as a professor of forensics at John Jay College of Criminal Justice and as a research scientist at IBM Research, focusing on malware, intrusion detection, and forensics.

At Trend Micro, Morton’s primary focus is on AI and ML technologies, particularly the application of neuro-symbolic reasoning to computer security problems. He also explores the potential security implications of emerging technologies outside the traditional domain of computer security. One of his key research areas, initiated in 2017, is the impact of quantum computing on cryptography. While the threat of quantum computers breaking current cryptographic methods is still distant, the advancements in quantum mechanics present other intriguing and more immediate security considerations.

Over the last 35 years of his career, he has been a part of many advances in the field of computer security contributing his expertise and perspective to their developments.

Tobias Mayer

I am involved with the Networking Security Industry since 1994 and have been engaged in many big projects. I worked for more than 20 years at Cisco Systems digging deep into network security. One of my tasks at Cisco Systems was to organise and lead the Security Track of CiscoLive! for more than 10 years. I am always happy to work with people and love to be involved with security related events. Since 2023, I am working as a Senior Domain Consultant at Palo Alto Networks and specialised in OT Security. In my spare time, I love to spend time with my family, doing small theater plays (with hand puppets…) for kids and enjoy good food and wine. ssssss
